About the Teacher

Hi! My name is Mrs. Donna Caskey.
I am excited to be teaching first grade again

Here is some more information about me:

My Education

I have a Master's Degree in Education from Georgetown College, and a B.A. degree in Early Elementary Education from Berea College. I attended Bryan Station Senior High in Lexington, where I grew up.

My Teaching Experience

This is my 25th year of teaching. I have taught fifth grade, first grade, kindergarten, and Title 1 Reading and Math at Mapleton. I also have teaching experience in Fayette County - at Breckinridge and Russell Elementary, and worked as a primary assistant and a substitute teacher there, as well.

My Family

My husband is Jay Caskey. We moved to Mt. Sterling nineteen years ago. We've been married for twenty-four years!
My husband and I have a daughter named Lee Catherine Caskey. She is now an 18-year-old that attends UK!
We also have some dogs. One of them was named "Chocolate Chip" by my husband and daughter. Chip has two brown circles on his back that look like huge chocolate chips!
