Dear Montgomery County School Families,

In just a few short weeks we will welcome all of our students and families back for our 2021-2022 school year.  The first day for students is Thursday, August 12, 2021.  On behalf of our entire Montgomery County School family, I want to say how excited we are to see to start the school year! 

Last school year had to be one of the toughest that we’ve faced, yet we found that our students, staff, families, and community are extremely resilient and capable of overcoming great challenges.  It is our hope that this school year will be back to normal.  While we will continue with some of the mitigation strategies and increased disinfecting and sanitizing within our schools, I do anticipate that there will be a return to normal activities and schedules.  I cannot express how much we thank our entire school community (students, teachers, staff, parents, families, community members and partners) for your support of our students and schools over the past year and a half as we provided services to our students while battling the pandemic.  We cannot have a strong school system without a strong community and we cannot have a strong community without a strong school system.  I believe that was shown time and time again during the pandemic. 

Montgomery County Schools will continue to offer breakfast and lunch at no cost to ALL students at ALL schools.  As a reminder, students are not allowed to charge when purchasing ala carte items.  We encourage our families to use the MyPaymentsPlus on-line system to make on-line payments, check account balances, or receive email notification when account balances fall below a certain amount.  This system can be accessed at www.mypaymentsplus.com.  An App for MyPaymentsPlus can also be downloaded for use on mobile devices.
