No In-Person Classes for the Remainder of School Year

Per the Governor’s recommendation, Montgomery County Schools will continue to use NTI instruction for the rest of the 2019-20 school year. We know there will be lots of questions from students, staff, and community members and while we have been planning for this possible eventuality there are still specifics that need to be worked out. More information about this will be coming out over the next few days and weeks. In the meantime, please continue to have your students work on their TRIBE day work and let the schools know if there are ways we can support you or your children more.

2020-2021 School Calendar

At the May 26, 2020 Montgomery County Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a school calendar for the 2020-2021 school year in order to meet requirements from the Kentucky Department of Education.  The calendar approved is the calendar that had the most support from the March survey of parents and staff and projects a normal start of the school year with the first student day being Thursday, August 13, 2020.  However, given the uncertainty of the start of school due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is extremely likely that the calendar will need to be revised before the start of the school year once more concrete information is known about what next school year will look like.  We ask our families to be patient and understanding about the likely need to revise the 2020-2021 calendar as we continue to receive additional guidance from the Kentucky Department of Education and state health department on a regular and continuing basis.
