I am excited to welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 school year! I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Fifth grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. In 5th grade we rotate classes for each subject. Your child will have a different teacher for ELA, Social Studies and Science, and Math. I will be teaching Math this school year. I hope to make learning as fun as possible for your child!

My name Marisa Hogge, and I am 27 years old. This is my sixth year teaching at Mapleton Elementary and my fourth year teaching 5th grade.

I attended Morehead State University (GO EAGLES!) and The University of the Cumberlands. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education, my Masters degree as a Literacy Specialist, and my Rank I as a Supervisor of Instruction. 

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and reading!
