Principal: Casey Greene

Ms. Greene is a graduate of Montgomery County High School. She has her Bachelors in Elementary Education, Master of Arts in Educational Technology, and Rank I in Instructional Leadership, Ed. Specialist (Professional Certificates: Supervisor of Instruction, DPP, and Principal K-12 Level 1) all from Morehead State University.  She has taught in the elementary grades for several years in Montgomery County and served as the Assistant Principal at Mapleton Elementary for two years. She became principal of Mapleton Elementary in 2021.

Mr. Shaw is a graduate of Montgomery County High School, received his Bachelor's degree in elementary Education at Morehead State University, and a Master's degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.

Chris has been married to his wife, Amy, for 20+ years. Together, they have three beautiful children. Additionally, Mr. Shaw coaches the Montgomery County Varsity Cheerleaders.

Mr. Shaw brings an elementary background with a variety of skills and experiences that will greatly benefit Mapleton. When speaking with him, you can see the love and passion he has for education. He shares our values to ensure ALL students are successful. His teamwork approach and work ethic will make him a great asset to our school
