Hello! My name is Tami Pallay and I am so excited to be working with you this year! I began teaching in 1999 and have taught in elementary schools in Louisiana, Texas, and Kentucky. This will be my first year teaching 2nd grade at MSE because I'm usually on the other end of the building teaching third or fourth. I am married to a wonderful man and have five amazing children. Our children range in age from thirty to eighteen years old. Our youngest just started at UK this year so we're becoming an empty nest home.
I have two undergraduate degrees from Louisiana Tech University. I received my Masters degree from Centenary College, and my Educational Specialist from Louisiana State University. Yes, I still cheer for the TIGERS ... but I also cheer for the CATS (our daughter, Elizabeth, graduated from UK and daughter Laura Kathryn is now part of the Big Blue Nation).
As you may have guessed, I am not originally from Kentucky. My family and I are from Louisiana and still celebrate Mardi Gras and all things Louisiana. This is our tenth year in Mount Sterling and we LOVE it. Kentucky is such a beautiful state with amazing seasons and wonderful people. We are so happy to call Mount Sterling home!
