Welcome! My name is Michelle Stacy and I am a reading intervention teacher at Mount Sterling Elementary. Reading intervention is designed to equip students with effective reading strategies to ensure they become successful readers.
I have 24 years of experience in education. I attended Morehead State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I completed my graduate work at MSU as well, earning a Master of Arts Degree in Guidance and Counseling. I have teaching experience in the elementary, middle, and high school as well as six years of counseling experience.
I love spending time with my family and I absolutely LOVE my job! I am very fortunate to work with a great group of students and staff at MSE. I am also very excited to be working with your child this school year and to provide literacy resources and support for parents and students!! Throughout the school year, I will be sending books home on your child's independent reading level as well as sight words for them to practice at home.
I want to increase communication between school and home so please reach out to me with any concerns or questions.
