Teaching is an absolute passion of mine and I am so excited to be able to share this Fourth Grade adventure with you! We are going to have so much fun learning, laughing, and making new friends! I cannot wait to meet and hear all about you! I’m sure you have questions and things you would like to know about me, so here are a few fun facts to get things started!

I am a mommy to two amazing boys!!! Mason is my oldest son and is a freshman this year at Asbury University where he is a member of the Men’s Soccer Team. He is majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine, with a minor in Coaching. Mason is 17 and loves playing soccer, watching soccer, playing video games, and traveling. Carson is an 8th Grader at McNabb Middle School and is a member of the middle school soccer team. Carson also plays Club Soccer and enjoys fishing, playing video games, swimming, traveling, and has a love for anything Star Wars! So, as you can see I watch A LOT of soccer games and I am usually on the go!

When we are not at the fields, we love spending time swimming, watching UK basketball, and hanging out together. My boys take up most of my time, but some of my hobbies include shopping, walking my dogs, traveling, watching sports, and visiting the BEACH as much as possible! That is my favorite place in the whole world, so our classroom reflects my love of the sunshine and sand!!

I am proud to call Montgomery County home. I have lived in this area my whole life, with the exception of my college days. This is my 22nd year of teaching and I love it with my whole heart! MSE has always been my home and I have taught all grades…except Kindergarten! My specialty is reading and writing. I graduated from Easter Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a double minor in English and Writing. While at Eastern, I was a member of the EKU Coed Cheerleading Team and EKU’s Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. I earned my Master’s Degree from Morehead University, where I gained my Principal Certification for grades K-12. I love school!

It is my mission to instill a love for learning in all of my students. I want them to know that they are special and I believe in each of them and that I love them like they are my own. I want them to feel that school is a safe, fun, and happy place to be! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns thought-out this year. It is so important to keep the lines of communication open between us! I would love to talk with you and work together to do what is best for your child. Please know that my door is always open and I am super EXCITED to begin this journey together! It’s going to be a DIFFERENT type of year, but it can still be AMAZING!

With Love,

Ms. Anderson
