MSE will host our 4th annual Reading Fair for students in Preschool- 3rd grade on Monday, February 11. 2019.  This is in conjunction with our Winter Writing Wonderland Event.  The fourth and fifth grade students will have their own fairs in March.

This is mandatory for all 2nd and 3rd grade students.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Laura Caudill at laura.caudill@montgomery.kyschools.us

Mt. Sterling Elementary students have been working so hard on creating coffee sleeves and Kroger bags with kind messages on them.  If you happen to receive one of these kind messages from a student from MSE please share that with us on Facebook. #spreadkindnessMSE

Kindness Week

Kindness Week Jan. 27th-Jan. 31st

At MSE we pride ourselves on having a culture of kindness on our campus. Our tradition for several years has involved joining hundreds of schools across the country for the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC). Again, this year we will participate in the 2020 GKC. Your child will be a part of a powerful and positive bully prevention initiative that will lead to more kindness, unity and respect. On January 24th your child will receive a GKC checklist with kind acts. Please encourage your child to complete the checklist and show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS. This checklist needs to be completed and returned to your child’s teacher no later than February 4th. We can’t wait to see how many kind acts are completed by our MSE students. Thank you in advance for helping us create a culture of kindness and compassion.

Below is a schedule of The Great Kindness Challenge Events:

Preschool Registration

Did you know that our preschool program enrolls students year-round? All children must be screened to begin the eligibility process. This will include hearing, vision, and developmental screenings. Screenings take place at registration and will last approximately one hour. For more information regarding the MCS Preschool Program or to schedule a screening, please contact Marti Escalante at (859) 497-8730.
