  • Mapleton Receives Born Learning Grant


    Mapleton Elementary, through its Family Resource Center, is the recipient of a $5,600 Born Learning Academy grant aimed at creating early learning opportunities for young children. Mapleton Principal Stephanie Harris and Mapleton/Mt. Sterling Elementary Family Resource Center Director, Danielle Pleasant, were present in Frankfort on April 24th for the Born Learning grant announcement.

  • Camp Kaleidoscope 2015

    Camp Kaleidoscope is available to students ages 5-12 years of age.  The first day of camp is scheduled for Monday, June 8th.  Click here to view.

  • Bid Proposals for Copiers

    Montgomery County Schools is accepting bid proposals for supplying networked copiers to all buildings in the District. 

    Bid proposals will be received to the attention of Jacqui Johnston, Chief Administrative Officer, 640 Woodford Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY  40353, until 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015.  A copy of the RFP can be downloaded here.

  • Mapleton Sweatshirts On Sale Now

    Sweatshirts are on sale to raise funds for the Science Program.  You may choose from hooded pocket ($25.00) or hooded zip jacket ($30).  Send orders with child name, homeroom, and size youth or adult.  Checks can be made to Mapleton Elementary.

  • Nutrition Services for Incoming Kindergarteners

    The Nutrition Services staff has provided responses to Frequently Asked Questions about the food service program for parents of incoming kindergarten students.  Click here to access the information.

  • Elementary Book Drive

    Family Resource Centers and Reading Interventionists have joined to sponsor an elementary book drive.  The goal is to provide books for every elementary student to read during the summer months.  The drive will be ongoing through April 30th.  New and used books can be dropped off at any elementary school.

  • Art Smells!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Smencils are Here!

    These pencils are made of recycled newspaper have tempting scents.  Money made from this project will buy art supplies.

    Smell  + Pencil = Smencil

    Mrs. Ginter will be selling Smencils from the art room each morning between 7:15 and 7:45. The cost is $1 each.
