Montgomery County 4-H provided training and supplies to participate in the National Youth Science Day in October. Fourth grade students at Mapleton Elementary made paper rockets to solve an engineering dilemma. In Science Lab class, students designed, tested and collected data on their propulsion systems to evaluate their own success.
The three elementary classrooms that won the School Nutrition Services Program Farm to School Attendance Challenge visited Bramble Ridge Orchard last Thursday as their reward. The classrooms were: Camargo - Mindy Jordan, MSE - Dawn Cockrell, Mapleton - Corenna Fowler. All of the students enjoyed the field trip.
