  • Duke Talent Identification Program

    Eight phenomenal 7th graders qualified for state recognition in the Duke Talent Identification Program. The students take the ACT college entrance exam and any who score at or above the national average for high school students are recognized at the state level in a ceremony held at Western Kentucky University. Additionally, two students qualified for GRAND recognition, which includes a special ceremony at Duke University. Only about 3% of students in the nation achieve at this level. GRAND RECOGNITION (State plus Duke): Liberty Smallwood, Laura Pallay; STATE RECOGNITION: Kasey Berryman, Caleb Bramel, Zane Carter, Shawn Edens, Ryann Finlayson, Robert Webb III.

  • Camp Kaleidoscope 2015

    Camp Kaleidoscope is available to students ages 5-12 years of age.  The first day of camp is scheduled for Monday, June 8th.  Click here to view.

  • Bid Proposals for Copiers

    Montgomery County Schools is accepting bid proposals for supplying networked copiers to all buildings in the District. 

    Bid proposals will be received to the attention of Jacqui Johnston, Chief Administrative Officer, 640 Woodford Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY  40353, until 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015.  A copy of the RFP can be downloaded here.

  • MCHS and McNabb Middle Students Attend KUNA

    Montgomery County High School and McNabb Middle School attended the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) in Louisville earlier this month. Both groups represented the country of Australia. The students had to write and debate UN Resolutions from the perspective of Australia, create a global village display, and wear native dress of their country. The high school won the Delegation of Excellence Award, and Gracie Johnson won Outstanding Ambassador, as well as being accep...ted into the prestigious Y-Corps and Conference on National Affairs programs. McNabb Middle student Caroline Bruening was nominated by multiple delegations for her hard work and dedication as parliamentarian. Seth Thorpe won an Outstanding Speaker Award, Jacey Whaley received the Outstanding Ambassador Award, and the group also won the Delegation of Excellence Award. The club is sponsored by Allison Whaley.
