Hello and welcome to another year at MCIS. My name is Ben Monnett and this is my second year at MCIS working as a Special Education teacher in the 6th grade. I am a two-time graduate of Morehead State University, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelors degree in Special Education (Learning and Behavior Disorders) and Middle Grades Education (Social Studies); and again 2014 with a Masters degree in Education Technology. I currently reside in Morehead with my wife, Lauren, and my two children, Kayden and Preston.
As a special education teacher I spend the entirety of my day co-teaching with the different teachers on Learning Community 5. My schedule is as follows:
8:30 - 10:00: Math (Mr. Curtis; Room #163)
10:05 - 11:35: ELA (Mrs. Walters; Room #154)
11:40 - 12:25: Science (Mrs. Gooch; Room #162)

I look forward to a great year at MCIS with all of our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
