My name is Christie Redmond Jouett and I will serve your family as Youth Service Center Director at Montgomery County Intermediate School for the 2015-2016 school year. Youth Service Centers are the counterpart to the FRC’s that served your child’s elementary school. I have been employed by Montgomery County Schools for 25 years. Prior to assuming this position, I served as director of Camargo FRC for 21 years, before that I taught Adult Education. I have a B.S.. in Child Development and Family Relations from Kentucky State University and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky. My husband, Vance and I are the parents of three daughters, 15 1/2 year old, Adia, a sophomore and 14 old twins, Allison and Alyssa, freshmen at MCHS and one wild and crazy 9 1/2 year old boy, Anthony, a 5th grader at MCIS. Our family lives in Mt. Sterling with our equally as wild and crazy dog, Max. In my free time I like to read, spend time with my family, do crafts, work with the youth at my church and volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Having spent most of my career in Montgomery County Schools at Camargo, the decision to change schools was bittersweet, however, it has been an AWESOME experience! The facility is beautiful and the staff is energetic and dedicated to educating all children.
I am super excited about getting too know each of you and equally excited about working with your children. The YSC will be open daily from 7:45 A.M.. to 4:30 P.M.. and other times by appointment. Entrance to the YSC can be made by entering in the rear of the building. All services provided by the YSC are confidential.
