I plan on being in my room every day by 7:45 a.m., but will have early morning duty at 7:50 in the cafeteria some days. I will usually stay till at least 4:00 or 4:30 after school on Fridays, but have to be at cross country practice by 4 at Northview Monday through Thursday until Novemeber.  Tutoring/catch-up times can be scheduled for those needing help by just contacting me.  My room phone number and e-mail address can be found below.  The preferred method of contact is e-mail, but if you need to call the best time to do so would be either before 8:20 a.m., or after 3:30 p.m.   Remember, never hesitate in talking with me if you need help or have a question.  There are no stupid questions.  My class schedule is as follows:

A Day:

2nd period - Planning

3rd period - Biology

4th period - Anatomy

I was born and raised in eastern Kentucky, and have lived in Mount Sterling for the past 13 years.  My husband and I moved here while I was working as a senior lab technician in a molecular virology lab at the University of Kentucky and he was working as an electrical engineer in Morehead.  Mount Sterling was right in the middle, and we have since chosen to make this the place to raise our three young daughters.

I attended college at Morehead State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Integrated Science in 2003.  After graduation I went to work at UK.  While there I had the opportunity to be involved in and conduct a lot of interesting research.  In 2009 I began attending Morehead State University once again in order to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching in Science and Biology.  This will be my eighth year here at MCHS.

Simply put, I like teaching because I like to help people.  I care about my students and want them all to succeed.
