I'm a veteran teacher who keeps coming back, year after year, because I love students, and I love education. Growing up in poverty helped me to understand that education is the road to a better future.
I believe that education must be made accessible to all students, and it is the teacher's responsibility to level the playing field. We all can learn, even if our ways are different. We all have special talents and it up to us to find them, and use them to make the world a better place.
I am blessed to be the mother of two wonderful adult children and grandmother to three perfect grandchildren. My husband, Richard, is an assistant manager at KDMK. We live in town with our two cats.
