Christmas Around the World

We will be "flying" to different countries and regions to learn about them and thier traditions. All of the kindergarten teachers will explore a different country/region with each of the kindergarten classrooms. Students will do many fun activies while visiting and learning about each country/region.  We will compare and contrast other countries' traditions with our own along the way and students will create a Christmas Around the World book as they visit each country./region Please ask your child what countries we have visited and what they learned.

Our itinerary incudes six countries:
The Artic

Here are some websites for you to explore:
 Santa's Net
 The Holiday Spot
All Things Christmas

Please  sign your child's agenda book and

review papers in your child's red folder each night.

Help our class win!!! We are collecting Box Tops and Cambell's soup labels!  Our class goal is to collect 2,000 this year!  Please cut them out and send them in to help our class and our school!

Please work with your child on the Fry sight words that have been sent home and linked on the left. Students should be able to read them upon seeing them - without having to sound them out.

Please remember that all bus or pick up changes must be made before 2:00 pm. You can send a note in your child's folder or call the office (497-8730) if you need to make a change in your child's afternoon transportation. Make sure that all notes have your child's first and last name and are signed and dated. Including a phone number where you can be contacted is also helpful.

We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom. If you want to send in a treat for your child's birthday, please let me know at least one day in advance so that I can plan for this special treat. Also, please make sure that if you are sending in something that it can be served individually, such as cupcakes, drink pouches, or treat bags. Please do not send a sheet cake since it is much harder to serve and eat in the time that we have. Do not feel obligated to send something in. Even if you do not send in something for your child's birthday, we will do our best to make it a special day for him/her!

Please see the school's calendar for upcoming events!
