This is my 22nd year teaching including the time I spent teaching in the United Kingdom and Powell County, Kentucky. I have taught many levels but most of my years have been in Primary. This year, I attended the National Energy Education Development National Confrence in Long Beach, California where I worked with teachers from all fifty states to bring Science to elementary classrooms.

Each week Mrs. Baker will recognize 4th graders who have made significant classroom contributions to write them on her door.  We will celebrate their success on Fridays by having lunch in the Science Lab and watching an episode of Myth Busters on the big screen.  Students will know they have lunch in the lab because they will be presented with an invitation for that week.

The following organizations or businesses have contributed time or materials to our Lab in the last year!

    Internet Use

Students will need to do research for their projects.  The internet is convenient and offers quick references.  Parents need to always be present when doing internet searches to monitor appropriate materials and sources for their children.  Remember that some sites are built by archiving contributions without checking out their validity.  Check who endorsees the sites you use for information.  The Nation Science Foundation or National Science Teachers Association are good indicators.

No information may be presented as the work of a student that is not their work.  All photos or information should be credited to the site or resources it is taken from.  Points will be deducted for plagiarism.
