Student Online Resources

An indespensible resource for, not only definitions and multiple meanings, Merriam-Webster online provides the etymology of the word, sample sentences, synonyms, antonyms, and an audible pronounciation of each word entered. It also provides a thesaurus, medical dictionary, Spanish-English dictionary, and an encyclopedia. There is also a tab for the Word of the Day which provides a vocabulary word with which to expand your knowledge base. The New Words & Slang tab will provide you with uncommon words & slang, which frankly, I don't know are worth learning if we don't hear them in Kentucky.
