Keeping in Touch
As an important advocate for your child, I am a firm believer in communication. I welcome you to be involved in what we are doing in the classroom and over the course of the school year I plan on using many ways in which I plan to stay in contact with you. Below is a list of a few ways that I plan to use throughout the year to “keep in touch” and maintain necessary contact with you as a guardian as much as possible.
Daily: Each student will have a notebook that we use to communicate messages to parents. We will call this the students “communication journal”. This will be a way for you and I to communicate each and every day and allow me to have the opportunity to share with you whether your child had a good/bad day or discuss any minor issues or even to discuss accomplishments from your child! At the end of each day I will write a short logging about the day and welcome you to write back to me the next day with any comments or questions you may have!
Weekly: My plan is to create my own classroom webpage that will give you information on a weekly basis about what my plan is for that week in the classroom! I will be taking pictures, having a schedule and much more information for you to check out what’s new that week in our room!
Monthly: Each month I will send a newsletter home to you with any information you need to know about as well as what new in our room and to tell you about the things we have planned for the upcoming month.
Note: As always, please feel free to email me and call me when you have any questions at all. I look forward to working together as a team to ensure a fabulous school year!
