Classroom Behavior Plan

Classroom Behavior Plan

In my classroom, I use a color pocket chart to monitor behavior.  Everyone starts each day on green.  Students are given one verbal warning for breaking a rule.  If he/she breaks a rule again, then he/she moves to yellow.  Yellow means caution and at this point he/she will lose 5 minutes of recess.  If the student misbehaves again then he/she will change their card to red.  This will result in a note home and loss of 10 minutes of recess.  At this point no more warnings are given and a visit to the office will take place if the child continues to misbehave.  Each child has a fresh start every day.  I expect ALL of the children to follow the rules.  I also know that they are not perfect so I will let you know if behavior becomes a major problem.  As an extra incentive, when we catch a student doing an exceptional job (helping others, being a great friend or listener) we may give them a blue card.  This will mean an extra special reward.  Students who stay on green all week will get to choose a treasure from our class treasure box on Friday.  Please sign the agenda nightly and discuss your child’s day & behavior.
