Mrs. Miller's Classroom Rules
1. Follow directions quickly.
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
4. Make smart choices.
5. Keep your dear teacher happy. (The class earns smiley faces for on-task behavior. I remind the students that a large amount
of smiley faces means a great deal of learning is occurring which makes me "VERY HAPPY".)
All students clothespins begin on the Green Box. Students move their clothespins up for good behavior and down for poor behavior. At the end of the day, rewards/consequences are given according the following color scale:
Purple - 1 Jewel on Reward Chart, a Sticker in Agenda Book, and Mrs. Miller Wears the Student's Clothespin on her Shirt
Blue - 1 Jewel on Reward Chart and a Sticker in Agenda Book
Green - Sticker in Agenda Book
Yellow - Warning!
Red - No Sticker in Agenda Book, -10 Minutes Recess, Parent Note
Students who are on green at recess get to move their clips to Blue for making good choices. Students who are on Yellow and Red can "turn their day around" and move their clip up to the next level if they are "caught being good".
**When a student has 10 jewels on her reward chart, she will get to pick an object from the treasure box. She will also move to the next Level on our Student Improvers Classroom Gameboard. There are 12 levels on the gameboard; the goal is for student's to reach Level 12 by the end of the year!
