Classroom Behavior Management Plan
In my classroom I use a traffic light to monitor the children’s behavior. Everyone starts each day on green. A student is given one warning for breaking a rule. If the rule is broken again, he/she will move to yellow. Yellow means caution. At this point a student will walk 5 minutes of his/her recess. If the child misbehaves again then he/she will go to red. This will result in a note/phone call home and 10 minutes of walking at recess. At this point no more warnings will be given and a visit to the office will occur if the child continues to misbehave. Each child will have a behavior chart in his/her agenda to be signed by a parent each evening. Each child has a fresh start every day. I expect ALL of the children to follow the rules. I also know that they are not perfect so I will let you know if the behavior becomes a major problem. Children who stay on green all week will be rewarded on Friday.
