Formative assessments will be a part of our daily routine. A formative assessment is just a check to see if students are mastering the content being addressed. Each day at the end of class we will have a short formative assessment checking the daily learning target. Your child may refer to it as an exit slip. Also, a weekly formative assessment/quiz will be given to check for mastery. It will be short and consist of 4-5 questions-mainly multiple choice. Both of those assessments will be used to plan future instruction/remediation/enrichment.
Help with Grammar
Below is a website you can use to practice grammar skills (especially pronouns) online: http://sms.iwcs.k12.va.us/iprojectgrammar/iprojectgrammar.html
Missing Assignments/Low Grades
Many students already have missing assignments and/or low grades. You may want to check your child's Infinite Campus account for their grade.
