View Events/Assignments for
The vision of Computer Aided Design Technology Education is to promote safety standards, performance standards, enhance leadership, provide relevant curriculum, and to be vital to the education of all students.
Students explore drafting and its processes: use and maintain equipment and supplies; determine line weights; measure and read line lengths with drafting scales; measure angles; and draw lines, circles, arcs, and irregular curves. Students practice freehand and mechanical lettering, geometric construction, freehand sketching, and beginning orthographic projection. Students study characteristics of lines and planes in orthographic projection and the principles applied to show the size and shapes of projects. Students demonstrate dimensioning techniques for orthographic drawings.
- Curent Lesson
Students are currently working on Measurement and Fractions. Both the US Customary and the Metric System are being studied and practiced.
Students are also working on reducing, adding, and subtracting fractions. These skills are needed and used by drafters on a daily basis in the workplace.
