Homework and Behavior Policy
2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade Reading Intervention Classes
Homework and Reading Incentives: Students will be given reading homework every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They will be expected to read an A to Z book or an AR book on their reading level. Parents/Guardians will sign the reading homework slip verifying their child has read the book. Students will receive an extra ticket and sticker on the AR chart for reading the book and passing an AR test on the book. For every ten stickers they receive on the AR Chart, they will receive a reading certificate and prize.
Behavior incentives: Students demonstrating proper behavior will receive tickets each day. A drawing will be held on Friday and the winner from each class will receive a prize.
Misbehavior during the class will result in the loss of a ticket.
1st incident- warning
2nd incident- loss of ticket
3rd incident-student walks during recess and a parent contact is made.
Students not completing homework will automatically lose a ticket. After the fourth incident, a strike will be given in the homeroom and a parent contact will be made.
