  • End of School

    The amended 2012-13 school calendar was approved by the Montgomery County Board of Education on Tuesday, April 23rd.  The final day for students will be May 30th and closing day for staff is May 31st.  MCHS Principal, Jim Dusso, has confirmed that graduation will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31st in the MCHS Arena.

     

  • 2013-14 FFA Officers Elected

    Congratulations to the newly elected FFA officers.  They will serve throughout the 2013-14 school year.

  • Congratulations to the MCHS Track Team

    Congratulations to the MCHS track team for a great season and a strong State finish.  Montgomery County, for the 1st time in about 12 years, placed two athletes in the top ten at the KY State Track and Field Championship held at the University of Louisville in May.

    Angelica Shkraba, a junior, set a new school record of 9 foot while placing 6th in the Pole Vault and 11th in the 100 meter hurdles, giving our school 6 points in the State Championship.

    Aiyanna Jones, a sophomore,  placed 9th while setting a new school record of 101 feet 8 inches in the discus and placed 19 th in the shot put.

  • McNabb 8th Grade Baseball Team Makes History

    Congratulations to the McNabb 8th grade Baseball Team for winning the Bluegrass Conference Championship, a first for McNabb.  The team was also the regular seasion Champions for the second time.

     

  • Jason Holland Named as New Head Coach

    On May 15th, Assistant Superintendent Phil Rison announced that Jason Holland has been selected as the new head basketball coach for the Montgomery County High School Indians.  Click here for details.

     

  • Academic Pep Rally

    Third and fourth grade students from across the district participated in an academic pep rally on May 10th.  The theme was:  Heroes of the Future - Saving the World One Mind at a Time.  Captain America, aka Jeff Perkins, led the event.

     

  • Congratulations MCHS Mock Trial Team

    Congratulations to the MCHS Mock Trial Team for finishing the year ranked 12th in the Nation!

     

  • Two-Day Summer Professional Development Opportunity

    The Montgomery County School System will break new ground with an intensive two-day learning experience for K-12 teachers throughout the region this summer. The sessions will be held on June 6th and 7th from 8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. at the Montgomery County Intermediate School, 1040 Maysville Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.   • Free Sports Physicals

    Integrity Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation will provide free sports physicals for Montgomery County Athletes on Saturday, June 8th.  Physicals will begin at 8 am and run through noon.  The doors will be locked at 11:40 am to make sure we get kids through to the doctors, who have prior engagements, before noon. 

    Athletes 18 years and younger MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY PARENT/GUARDIAN. They will not be permitted to go through the line unless their parent/guardian is with them to fill out & sign the paperwork, NO EXCEPTIONS!

    Students/Parents, please print off the KHSAA physical form online and have your personal information filled out in advance.

     

  • Calipari Camp Returning to the District

    The Calipari Satellite Tour Camp will once again include a stop in Montgomery County -June 12th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.  There is a cost for the camp, which is for students in grades K-12.  The 2011 and 2012 camps sold out, so early registration is recommended for those interested.  Click here for more details.
