Medications given at MCELC

1. We only administer medications that parents provide. 
2. All over the counter medications must be in original container--the container MUST contain dosage instructions and a medicine cup or medication dopper.
3. Prescription medications must be in the original bottle from the pharmacy--Pharmacies are usually able to give parents an extra labeled bottle when needed for school.
4. Parents must give the program written permission to dispense these medications to their child.
5. The school nurse will give medications.  If school nurse is not available the child’s teacher or assistant will give the medication.
