Their daughter, Haylee, will be pursuing a degree in pharmacy as a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, and their ten-year-old son, Ryne, will attend school in Montgomery County.
Jim Dusso has a strong passion for education and believes that every student can learn. He advocates for the use of technology to enhance student learning, and to provide real-world application and experience that will prepare students for their futures. He stated, “Whether I am serving as a teacher, coach, principal, or superintendent, my focus is excellence. The most important expectation we can set for our students and ourselves as educators is to strive for excellence.” He adds that respect is also a key component of success.
Since relocating to Kentucky, Mr. Dusso has become an avid UK athletics fan. He said he hopes to find the same competitive spirit in the Montgomery County High School. “I want to see our students succeed in the classroom and on the field of competition.”
