Black Achievers

All 6th through 12th grade African American and Hispanic students in the district should have received a Black Achievers packet with information and an application. Montgomery County Schools provide registration fees and transportation for the sessions. There will be a Student/Parent meeting Monday, August 28th at 6:00 pm at Mt. Sterling Elementary.

YMCA Black Achievers Mission Statement:

Black Achievers is the catalyst that provides exposure to present and future educational/career opportunities, instills positive social values, ignites students' thirst for knowledge, enables students to reach their full potential by creating opportunities for adults and the community to participate in their lives, and empowers families to assist students in reaching higher goals.

The Black Achievers not only want you to go to college but we want you to go for free! Come and learn how you can take advantage of this wonderful program. The program will also discuss our planned educational trip and fundraising.
