Five phenomenal 7th graders qualified for state recognition in the Duke Talent Identification Program. The students take the ACT college entrance exam and any who score at or above the national average for high school students are recognized at the state level in a ceremony. Of those give students, one qualified for GRAND recognition, which includes a special ceremony at Duke University. Only about 3% of students in the nation achieve at this level.
