STLP Competition

The school system was well represented in regional STLP competition as students/groups from Camargo, Mapleton, Northview, McNabb, and MCHS advanced to state competition. Kudos to the judges for their hard work. Schools have to supply a judge or their projects will not be judged. (Judges don’t evaluate their own school.) Many thanks to the Tech Team for being there to help with any technical issues. (They reported there were very few this year.)

Moving to state competition in April:

Camargo Project Title: Lost and Found
Camargo Project Title: Smile Train
Mapleton Project Title: Mapleton School News Crew
Northview Project Title: Northview Paparazzi
Northview Project Title: Knightly News
McNabb Project Title: Change the World Project
MCHS Project Title: Coding Club

Mapleton's Student Leadership Teams - 11/30/18 Update Mapleton's Environmental Improvement Leadership Team

We are so proud of all of our fall student leadership teams at Mapleton!  Not only have they been leading the students and staff at Mapleton to support the success of our school, this year they have been focused on connecting to groups in the community that have the same goals.  The Safety Team has worked this fall with the various law enforcement groups and hosted them for a day of appreciation and focused on educating our students about bus safety.  The Civics Team has connected with the Kiwanis group to learn more about their role in our community, and the Environmental Improvement Team has been connected to our downtown revitalization team and Tourism Director.  These community leaders explained their role in improving our community.  The students also visited businesses spreading holiday cheer and decorations to share.
